Why isn't Miles Park on louisville metros park list. Its a new park near park duvalle. Its on map quest, com where they brought cecil avenue down. Finally all that space near algonquin parkway is being put to use. Its above gibson lane.

I recently came to Louisville for a meeting. I drove through Old Louisville and enjoyed the homes, as well as all the front yard gardens. On my way out of town , I made a stop at one of your downtown eateries. It was at Second and Market street. I was going to stop in the subway shop, but instead I saw a place next to it called Saffron's. It is not a large fancy place, but it has an interesting menu. I saw on the menu it had "rack of lamb". I had never had lamb before , so I said what the heck. I'll give it a try. It was one of the best tasting meals I have ever had! I later learned the spices came from another part of the world. I had no idea Louisville, Kentucky had anything outside of normal American food. Louisville might not be as big as some places, but the types of food that is in Louisville gives me a chance to taste foods that are like nothing I have ever eaten. When I come back to Louisville , I will need to read your eatery guide a little more. I will never forget that little place at Second and Market called Saffron's.

Did you know that 20,000 Mexican American Males have been Arrested in Chicago in the past 3 years? The fbi has had it with them gang banging and killing people and always getting away. The real Latins Kings, not them fake wannabees Puerta Rican Latin Kings in New York, which by the way Nyc has the lowest murder rate in the United States falling behind San Jose. The Fake Kings of Nyc which are not connected to any other city have murdered 10 people in th elast 4 years. The real Latins kings that are connected like dots from cali, to Texas to Chicago and connected throughout the whole midwestern United States have been blamed for 1,533 homicides over the last 4 years. The fact is Causian males of Mexican Descent and african American Males is just in them to kill on the streets. Its not in any other races in the United States. You see the Bs Latin Kings of NYC are just hollywood they did that bs documentary with H.B.O to just front. Its hollywood. The fact is the Fbi puts anybody who isnt black into the white category in crime statistics so when us whites read the stats its severely misleading. So you dont realize the realness of it.

I feel its rasist cause black wouldnt have the highest crime rate if the separated the categories . But nope its just asians, native americans , whites , and blacks.

So of course blacks are gonna look to have the highest crime rate, when its indeed rasist. SERPARATE THE DAMN CATEGORIES IF BLACKS DONT WANT TO BE LOOKED AS THE VILLIANS> GO TO THE FBI.com youll understand

Look Phen I know people wait for mexican americans to bullet riddle edjuther in the western United States and look for blacks to bullet riddle bodys in the eastern United States. Then the whites and asians and puerta ricans talk about murder rates and glorify them in their homes, while the mexican AMERICANS(not latinos or mexican nationals) and African Americans do the murders for you all to talk about on the streets.

The point is there hasnt been a murder in 10 days in louisville, in that same time period in which louisville has 0 murders 22 people have been murdered in Detroit, 15 have been smoked in New Orleans, 30 in los Angeles, 5 in St. Louis, 13 in Kansas City(Missouri, Not Kck, 2 totally different states and citys), 14 have been murdered in Houston, 18 in the windy city, 5 in cincinatti, 23 in philadelphia and 15 in blatimore.

Are city craves crime when there isnt we talk about ways to stop the crime, fact is local news affililates need to shut up and when a murder happens just briefly mention and move on. Most cities dont even metion murders on local news unless a cop or judge gets murdered!

To the City of Louisville and the Louisville City Police department. I would like to ask for the Louisville City Police to patrol the area of fourth street around fourth street live at night. Some African American males have decided to block traffic in both directions on fourth street from Broadway to fourth street live. One is a Ford Bronco brown in color the other is a black cad. They are pretending to talk to each other while they stop traffic for long periods of time.

"High murder rates come with big cities?" not necessarily true. Depends on what country you're in.

For instance London, murder rate is half Louisville http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/153799.stm

Kansas city missouri the definition of a big city, with kc kansas right by. High murder rates come with big cities. Kc is a great city with tons to do but all big cities deal with murder rates that are high. So if Louisville continues to grow and somedays gets to be a big city murder rates go with it. Oh and people you cant stop murders in the city. Newburg is a small outside city that neighbors step up. You cant stop murders in any city accross the country thats over 150,000 people. Big cities will always get their murders. New Orleans will always get its 275 a year and Philadelphia will always get its 375 a year. Its impossable to stop them. I just thought you all should know since louisvilles growing the murder rate is not going to decrease any time soon! Its gonna continue to rise for the next 5 to 7 years, then it will stop the rise.

Man does have a built in ape like ability to be stupid. However, most of the stupid ones end up in jail, dead, or on the street. Apes did not build Old Louisville. Educated people did. We all have a choice: Smoke, and die of cancer, drink liquor till we have liver disease, do drugs cause we just can't cope with reality, or do what the people who built Old Louisville did. Leave a legacy ! If you are smart enough to use a computer. What else can you do ? When I am in Old Louisville I see what the Victorians were capable of. They had no car, no microwave, computer, jet, mall, convenient store, refrigerator, or air conditioner. Today we have so much, all we can do is gripe and throw things just like like the ape does ,at things we are not educated to. I bet you hate people from China. I bet if you look inside your shirt tag it says ; Made in China !

I wish you would put caps after a period.....In so many ways however you are correct ! I like Old Louisville because it has people from around the world , with many different religions and many things to teach us. All of us in America forgot that most of our relation was not born here! We all decided to hide behind the fact that from earth we came, who know's where ! To earth no matter if you are from the north, south, east, or west end, to dust we all shall return. A cold beer and some bbq taste good no matter what end of town you are from. There will come a judgement day ! However it is the children that will take over where we left off. What we do will determine their fate. My parents hated black people. My first neighbor was a black man in Old Louisville . He looked scary ! One day he was cooking some ribs, he yell'd at me ! Said hey neighbor ! You hungry ?

This world we call earth has been around for billions of years. We are evolutions species and we have made up these words to communicate with! In a 10 thousand years humans will no longer exist and new breeds of life will start we will all be gone. just like the dinasaurs and the cave men. we are evolution a never ending cycle. like crocodiles used to be 100 feet long and eat trexes. Fact is we all know the truth about god. we just pretend he is so when we get old and are a about to pass away we have some hope and something to make death easier. Its easys the mind. us humans are life forms and we are just like crocs, tigers and fishes. when we kill edjuther its the same as a rottweiler killing a pitbull in a fight. its just our envirement. its natural and just life its our envirement. just like when a tiger kills a buffalo theres no difference. its just humans have become so smart over the years of evolution we have created society and used man power and the earths resources to take control and build the life and the the coordiates that bring it all together..............

im tellin ya if that stadium gets built downtown that will be the start of louisville becoming a big city. its what we need. how could any idiot suggest the fairgrounds or soemthing else. only a person in the subburbs or from small towns would think like that. if you want louisville to be on the weather channel and the back of the usa today you have to start thinking big. every empty lot needs to be filled in. You want a reason for a higher murder rate????????? Ill tell you why growth. all those empty lots around the smoketown and shelby park neighborhoods are being filled in with shot gun houses. Park duvalle will get bad eventually and allready poses a high burglary rate. its bigger and there is no more room for houses. Well louisville is 66 square miles in city limits. i count shively they are louisville. southwest ville. and norfolk new jersey is 23 square miles. The difference is all lots are filled with housing and tons of of 3 and 4 story apartments line the streets. they have 300,000 people! crime rate of louisville will skyrocket dramatically simply cause dave armstrong and abrmanson have pledged to fill in empty lots with housing and the more houses that come the more crime. you shold drive by smoketown and shelby park they have built 2,000 houses in empty lots their in the past 6 years. Anyone who says louisville isnt growing is blind go out to westport road and see the 5,000 house subdivison that was made call forest springs north or the 4,000 house subdivison called forest springs norht on lagrange road

I saw Indiana just purchased some land for the new bridges ! Story goes, they will be done in the year 2020. If you had a kid today he, or she will be 15 years old. If your kid is 15 now, they will be 30 years of age by completion of the bridges. Today many of we humans might make it to 74.5 years of age. How old will you be by the time the bridges are built ? Well I guess some of us lived to see 9th street ! How many years did you have to wait ? By the time Louisville grows, most other cities will be three times as big as we are now.

I was born in Louisville. My family lived many years in the Highland Park community which was totally obliterated by the expansion of the airport/industrial park. Frequently we visit family & friends in Louisville. This past visit (5/29/05) we tried to find where the Highland Park neighborhood had once existed. After much searching we finally were able to discover the remains of a few streets and sidewalks of the old neighborhood. They were already disappearing under a green blanket of KY blue grass. This was the only sign of the once lovely, small, blue collar neighborhood that so many called home. So very sad, when you think of all the hundreds of people that were born, grew up, married, attended church, and raised their families in Highland Park. Some living their whole lives there. Surely, the City of Louisvlle could erect a sign or monument in remembrance of the Highland Park Community that was home to so many for so long! Yes, progress is necessary, but let us not forget a community that was once an integral part of Louisville, and still important in the memories and hearts of so many!

Louisville's leadership is headless in their ideas . First you must unite the people . Might be nice too if the politicians of Kentucky would hire people who can get the job done rather than their inlaws . When we breed with our own relation , there is nothing but trouble ahead.http://www.metaphor.dk/guillotine/Pages/Guillot.html.

Hey Mary. Get a job, by a home and get over it. How is that correct grammor? It's funny I bet you spend a half an hour combing each post you post making sure nothings wrong. Your a prick! You must have no life to really care about dotting all your i's and crossing all your t's on a message board. Yet most of the time you spell something wrong or use incorrect grammor yourself. You must be truthfully the simple minded person to be that o.c.d, and still get stuff wrong. All I can say about you is that you are an idiot.

I cannot believe the absolute ignorance and unbelievable garbage spouted from most of you on this website. Get a job, buy a home and get over it. This used to be such a great place to come and get information on Old Louisville and all it has been lately is boo-hoo-poor-me posts! Get a life and learn how to spell while you are at it!!! No one is going to take you seriously when you spell like a 2nd grader.

You people have nerve to say anything about gay people. You play with farm animals and have a 9 foot tall doll called Freddy at your state fair.

I gave a friend of mine in Kentucky a smartphone for his birthday. Two days later he called me back and said he had asked it several questions and he wanted to know if it would answer him in audio or video because it seemed to not be working.

Why is Louisville invisible ? It is the only city with stealth technology. We are sorry at this time there is a glitch in the software. We are sorry at this time only half the city can be seen on radar, or by the naked eye. Its our new secret weapon. Old Louisville your software seems to be O.K. at this time we can see you.

Give me a break ! #1 there is no gay man on this planet that would want to be Mayor of this dump we call Lousyville. # 2 no gay person would have the Kennedy bridge painted to blend in with a battle tank ! Take a look at this city ! It looks like a toothless mouth with metal sheds and people to go along with it. This place reminds me of the movie deliverence. I her da piggy's squillen in the background. SUUEEEYYYY !

Who cares what Abramson does in his free time? Non-issue compared to what he does in his public time, which is straddle the fence on just about everything. Didn't agree with everything Armstrong did, but had to admire him for trying to do something, and looking for all the world like he had the city's best interest at heart, not just the local power-clique.

Maybe it is time for an African American man ,or an African American woman or white woman to be Mayor. Looks like our leaders here have run out of steam. Where is Mr. Armstrong ? Didn't he jump on a piece of construction equiptment and knock a hole in a building. Today in that same place stands a new convention hotel . He even had some health problems. We need Mr. Armstrong back, he even came to meetings in Old Louisville . Come back Dave ! Louisville needs you !

You forgot the invisible basketball arena ! Like the bridges , you might see a new arena about 2050. Most of us will not be alive by the time even the study is done. All of the Kentucky politicians will have retired to Florida. On your, social security check.

Actually contrarie to your beliefs louisville is building more houses. I aint talking about the county either. I talking about the city. The old city limits. From 2000 to 2003 4,689 houses where built in louisville. Compare to philly which built 5,000. Pittsburgh built 2,000. So with 260,000 people we built as much as philly with 1.5 million people. We are building so fast people can hardly breathe. The 2004 census estimates will be released in august. Every lot is being filled in.. Houses are still going up around city. Tons in the west end. Greenwood avenue and hale avenue. An along shawnee expressway new roads are being paved and little neighborhoods are being made. I have a feeling in 5 years the south end is going to be like the west end of louisville. Louisville actually is starting contruction and pretty much doubled its downtown in last 7 years. louisville a icon for building houses .

In Louisville we have a invisible rail system that we use to cross our invisible bridges then you can stay at the invisible renovation at the Y downtown and maybe have lunch at the invisible renovation of the grand buildings at 2nd and main. Louisville the city of invisible projects. "What a theme". I saw on a travel chan. that you can stay at a place that builds ice houses and hotels each year. During the warm months they melt. Sort of like Louisville's grand ideas. Only thing that is real in Louisville is Old Louisville. Only reason it did not melt is because some people in Old Louisville told U Of L and the politicians to get the H@#%@ out of our way !

Hes right louisville has no street cameras. And person below me, hes talking about goverment installed cameras to fight crime. Louisville has none and Im glad. Its an invasion of pirvacy. In Chicago the police moniter you every move on the streets.. Anybody walking on the streets is monitered from a station. Dozens of murderers have been caught on cameras.

Louisville is safe and nice. Most cities have camera systems on the streets that moniter them. Louisville doesnt have any cameras. Its nice and ghetto free. Heres a city in distress that we hope we never get to. with 650,000 people baltimore has 102 homicides through may 27. They go 14 since then so it nows stands at 116. But baltimore has the second largest street camera system in the nation. Chicago being number one. http://www.citypaper.com/news/story.asp?id=10026

Last night I saw there had been a meth bust in the Polo Fields on the T.V. news. I tried to look it up on the news websites. Like the invisible bridges we are building. No one had the nerve to post it. I thank the news people that had the nerve to air it. It is about time somebody told the truth in Kentucky.

I saw a post that it might be a good idea to have signs in another language but it was not a big need. I was at the Shivley license branch today. Every other person in there was talking a language that was not english. I thought I was in another country.
